Anna Thomassie Soniat founded the firm in New Orleans in 2016 and quickly developed a reputation for offering custom, thoughtful, next-level design services to a select client base. In a just a few years Soniat Architecture had collaborated on projects across Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, and by 2019, added Will Soniat to the studio as Principal. Current work includes several residential projects, and a unique mix of commercial and institutional projects. The design team collaborates with clients to develop resilient architecture that is forward thinking, and uniquely Louisiana.

Anna founded Soniat Architecture in New Orleans in 2016 and has since worked on residential and commercial projects throughout the region. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University, is a registered architect in Louisiana, and is a member of Women in Architecture. Anna has experience on projects of various scales with a focus on progressive commercial and community projects. Prior to establishing her practice, Anna worked for Chase Marshall Architects and NANO in New Orleans and Cheramie+Bruce Architects in Houma.

Will joined Soniat Architecture in January 2019 after working for eleven years at two of the city’s most recognized and award-winning residential architecture firms, Lee Ledbetter & Associates and bild DESIGN. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University and is a registered architect in Louisiana. Will has experience on projects of various scales with a focus on custom residential design and energy-efficient design solutions.
